Occupied since Saturday 10th March 2007
Dealing with water pipes that were cut and pissing out water all down two floors. Dealing with sodden carpets full of worms. Dealing with pigeon shit rooms...dealing with a lack of tender loving care. We fix. We build. We occupy!!

This building has been left to rot by 'developers'. It was basically falling down. A small group of local people have begun to repair it, re-use it, recycle it...

...We occupy and use the space without needing tons of money to enable us to enjoy a free social space. But we occupy to share the space with those who are a little bit tired of how things are! Be occupied!
Now we have put in a kitchen and created living spaces upstairs...always accompanied by hundreds of cups of tea to keep warm...There is an exhibition up now in the main cafe part. PLus an Infoshop is slowly happening...
A lot of local people have commented on how nice the building looks now we have painted the front in three bright colours..also our lucky horse has been attached to the front of the place...check it out!
So far we have had two SEEDY SUNDAY seed giveaways...
people swapping seeds and seedlings....and jolly nice weather it was too!!
Get in em, grow something!!!

We 'lost' in court, we fought the law and the law won, suprise surprise but yet we are still here...we decorated the building with a few choice bon mots!!!

oh you just dont know how time consuming running a squatted centre is...so forgive us for our lack of recent photo updates...we also stopped takng photos for a bit...but we will be back with some nice ones put here merely to inspire you to START YOUR OWN CENTRE xxx
